Project activities

The project is carrying out two types of activities:

Analysis and Benchmarking

The project is being carrying analysis and studies to achieve a better knowledge of cluster situation in the region, compare their cluster policies and identify best practices on cluster identification and promotion, and to disseminate them. The analysis will provide the basis for cluster co-operation. Partners will also learn from individual examples of cluster organization and development in each of the regions.

Cluster Co-operation

The project shall encourage cluster co-operation and will explore the possibilities to explore the possibility of creating transnational meta-clusters. Co-operation will be established both at cluster manager level and at business level, to identify concrete joint projects. 

Management and Co-ordination

The project is based on the co-operation between the partner organizations, through the Project Steering Committee and the Working Groups.

Project Budget

Total project budget is € 1,161,042, € 406,364.70 as partner co-financing and € 754,677.30€ financed by the ERDF through the Atlantic Area Territorial Cooperation Operational Programme.

Most of the budget is dedicated to Human Resources and External Services, as project actions are to be implemented by partner staff with some technical assistance.

The largest share of the budget is dedicated to promote effective cooperation between clusters and businesses.
